Frequently Asked Questions

Who are NuYu?

NuYu are a chain of stunning boutique fitness centres, inspiring the women of Saudi Arabia to get active. Our centres are located in Riyadh – KSA.

We have have locations across Riyadh and soon to open in Al-Khobar and Jeddah.

What makes NuYu different?

NuYu is great value for money and our memberships start from only SAR302 per month, making fitness affordable and accessible to all. You still get the beautiful, welcoming facilities and services you’d expect from NuYu and our team of international trainers.

Who is RAW for?

RAW is adaptable for any ability, with suitable progressions and regressions. We cater for our elite, fit clients and our beginners who aspire to be really fit and scultped. The sessions are 30 minutes long with a maximum of 6 other participants so each member will get guidance through all exercises.

Am I tied into a contract?

It’s up to you. If it’s flexibility you require, our best priced memberships require a minimum period of membership of 3 months. You can also try us for one day with a guest pass.

What will your opening hours be?

All branches operate the same opening hours:

Saturday: 9.00am – 4.00pm

Sunday - Wednesday: 7.00am – 10.30pm

Thursday: 7.00am – 7.30pm

Friday: Closed

How old do you have to be to join?

16  years of age. In some cases, proof of age may be required. All members signing up will need to show their residents ID, Iqama or Passport copy for identification purposes. For security purposes we will also take a picture of you for our system. This is confidential and never shared with third parties.

Can I use all NuYu centres if I have a membership?

If you hold a standard membership, you will be able to access the centre that you initially signed up too. If you hold a NuYu Plus membership you can access all NuYu centres at any time. You can transfer to a new branch at the end of the current membership term or upgrade to our NuYu Plus membership to access all branches.

What equipment will you have?

The gym is kitted out with a selection of the very latest equipment by Precor, Technogym, Star Trac, True Form and Power Plate, as well as a fully functional CrossFitness area offering all the latest training tools.

Will there be someone to show me how to use the machines?

You will receive a free Personal Training Session when you join our centres, so you’ll get a programme, a full orientation and welcome to the club.

Can my driver leave the car outside the centres?

There are limited spaces and we ask all that drivers leave the access routes clear so the ladies can be dropped at our ground floor location and walk straight into their centre. We ask that your driver waits in his car and does not wait around the main entrance to the centres.

Will you be doing classes?

There will be a full timetable  of all the latest classes including FightFX, PumpFX Spinning, Yoga, Pilates, Dance, Zumba, Power Plate and much much more. Our class timetables will change regularly as we introduce new classes and find times that best suit our members. The timetables will be different for each centre so be sure to check the correct timetable.

Can I book classes?

Our members can access the NuYu online booking system and we encourage our members to book up to 3 classes, 2 days in advance. Want to get the best slots? Take a look at our early morning schedules to lead your day with activity! Our front of house team will show you how to get started using the booking system when you sign up for a membership.

Will there be staff in the gym?

There will be our team of international fitness coaches on hand to answer your questions and give you guidance.

Will you have personal trainers?

Yes, your first orientation session at NuYu is FREE, thereafter you can sign up for one our Private Group Training results packages from as little as SAR50 per session.

What is Private Group Training?

Private Group Training (PGT) sessions provide 30 minute, affordable Private Training for small groups of 4-8 women. Under the close supervision and motivation of a NuYu trainer, PGT provides results focused 4-week progressive programmes, updated with new content every quarter. Ask our team about the PGT programmes available in your branch.

Are there changing rooms?

Yes there are. There are changing areas with lockers, showers and hairdryers for members to use. You will need a padlock to secure your belongings in a locker (available to buy at the centre). Items cannot be left over night in the lockers.

Will I be issued with a NuYu membership card when I join?

Yes. You will be issued with a wrist band that is unique to yourself and this will enable you to gain access into your centre. We will confirm your membership with the ID picture we have of you in our membership system.

Can I freeze my membership?

Yes, you can freeze your membership twice for 1 month for a small fee depending on the membership you have subscribed to.

Can I share or give my membership card to somebody else to use?

When you sign up for a membership with NuYu, we’ll take your picture and assign it to your profile so we can identify members with photo ID when they enter the club. Under no circumstances can you give or share your membership card with anybody else as it is unique to you. To protect the interests and ensure the safety of our valued, paying members, offenders will have their membership cancelled.

How do I cancel my membership?

The cancellation process is very simple. Because memberships are paid as an upfront payment, for example 6 months, if you do not wish to renew after this time, please let us know when we contact you about your renewal. There will be no cash refunds or transfers available on memberships. You will need to inform us of your wish to cancel in writing so via email or a letter handed in to the front of house team at reception.

Do you offer corporate discount?

Does the facility include sauna, steam, spa and pool?

We have focused on offering the finest fitness equipment and expertise at an affordable price, which has meant we have cut out unnecessary extras such a pool, sauna and steam. We do not have a pool or any steam or Sauna’s. Why pay extra for facilities you don’t use?

Who can access NuYu centres?

NuYu is open to all women over the age of 16 and it is a strictly non-male environment. Only paying members are allowed into our centres, so no nannies or chaperones will be permitted.

Is there a dress code?

Once you arrive into the club you are permitted to wear whatever comfortable clothes you wish. You will have to wear proper lace up training shoes with a non marking sole. Jeans are also not permitted. We would also ask that you remove your Abaya once you have entered our reception area.

Are towels provided?

Yes, a towel to use in the gym to keep yourself and the equipment clean and dry will be handed to you as you enter and must be dropped into the allocated laundry basket before you leave the club. 1 towel per person, per visit.

Is there a cloakroom?

We do not have a cloakroom service, so all abayas must be put into a locker. A padlock will be required to secure all personal belongings in your locker. Padlocks can be purchased from the vending machines at your centre if required. No abayas can be stored with our front of house or fitness team or allowed on the gym floor or in the studios.

Is there a café?

We have a lounge and social area on the ground floor where we will sell water and soft drinks from our vending machines. This area is for you to rest whilst you wait for your class or as a chill out area after your hard work!

Is there a crèche?

We have focused our beautiful facility entirely on fitness so we do not have a crèche on site. Children under 16 will not be permitted to enter.

What qualifications do your Personal Trainers have?

All of our personal trainers have achieved Level 3 status, which is the highest level on the Register of Exercise Professionals, ACE or equivalent certifications bodies and hold up to date insurance and first aid certificates.

What Pre and Post Natal services do you offer?

NuYu offers a range of pre and post natal services and advice from our highly training individuals. If it’s staying in shape whilst you’re pregnant or getting your pre pregnancy body back, we can help you. You must inform a member of the team if you are pregnant or try to conceive.
